CCIC 2005 Legislative Accomplishments 

• All health care providers are authorized to use the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS).

• CIIS receives approval to send recall/reminder notices to parents.

• CIIS receives its first state funding – up to $250,000.

• County nursing services in areas without a district health department receive new immunization funding – almost $500,000 annually.

• New funds generated from Colorado’s tobacco tax will make a tremendous difference in helping families access immunization and other health care services.
