Gretchen McGinnis is the Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Performance Improvement, providing oversight of all strategic planning activities. Gretchen joined Colorado Access in March 2000, and since that time she has played an integral part in its growth by applying deep knowledge of public healthcare systems and policy to internal strategies for meeting market demand. She provides executive leadership of policy and government relations. Gretchen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Vassar College and earned a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She has over 12 years of healthcare experience, and brings to Colorado Access a unique understanding of healthcare systems and public policy. Prior to joining Colorado Access, she served as a policy associate for the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Personal Hero: My grandfather, a veteran, entrepreneur, father, community leader

Hometown Fun Fact: I am a second generation Colorado native and married my high school sweetheart who is also a Colorado native. We are raising our family less than 10 miles from where we grew up.

Favorite Thing To Do in Colorado: I love to hike, fly fish, and explore with my children.

Why Vaccinate:  I will do anything I can to protect my children and want to do the same for all children. Vaccines are one way to do both simultaneously.
