Invisible Threat from CHSTV Videos on Vimeo.
“Invisible Threat” is an eye-opening 40-minute documentary that explores the science of vaccination and why fears and misperceptions have lead parents to not vaccinate their children.
The film was produced by a group of award winning high school students from Carlsbad High School in California. They set out to produce a documentary on the human immune system and uncovered a social controversy they didn’t know existed but which affects communities across the United States.
"Invisible Threat" chronicles vaccines through interviews with families, physicians and experts. The documentary was funded by unrestricted grants from various California Rotary Clubs. Screenings are being held across the country to spark a conversation and educate students and parents about the science of immunization and dangers of under-vaccinated communities.
The documentary has already received praise from more than 300 organizations, including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and Every Child By Two, calling the documentary "powerful," "fast-paced," "well-balanced” and “impeccably produced."
Carlsbad High School has one of the top broadcasting programs in the nation and has been awarded 19 Student Emmys. The students went into this project as journalists - not for or against vaccines. They were looking to tell the truth and were shocked by what they discovered.
