Gladys Brown Jones Turnbough

Gladys Brown Jones Turnbough of Aurora, Colorado, is the mother of three sons, two of whom served during Desert Storm—one as a Marine and one in the Army. She is also a grandmother to one granddaughter.

Ms. Brown Jones Turnbough holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. Ms. Brown Jones Turnbough also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in pre- law studies from University of Colorado Denver and an Associate's Degree as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist from the Community College of Denver where she specialized in mammography

Additionally, Ms. Brown Jones Turnbough is a member of Colorado Black Women for Political Action (CBWPA) and the Founder and Project Director of Arts & Wellness, an organization that focuses on providing pap screenings to women who are un- or under-insured and educating on the importance of HPV vaccination. She also serves as the Secretary of the Kwanzaa Committee of Denver, the Coordinator of Zio Senior Center Kwanzaa Luncheon, and as a member of the Colorado Cancer Coalition HPV Task Force and the Colorado Breast and Cervical Cancer Advisory Board. Ms. Brown Jones Turnbough is an ordained minister at the Heritage Christian Center.
