CCIC Coalition Meeting: A Summer Screening of Innovative Immunization TED Talks and Discussion

Jul 27 2016

At this theater-style afternoon event, CCIC featured cutting edge work in the immunization world and inspiring stories shared through a unique lens. This event creatively illuminated the enormous impact of vaccines in our world and their potential to change the future if we work together.

This event featured:

  • The Art of Saving a Life, TEDMED Talk, Christine McNab
  • A Story of Risk and Community, TEDx Talk, Lindsay Diamond, PhD
  • A special feature, live talk and Q&A with co-founder of Support Your Herd, Karli Carston
  • The release of CCIC's most recent video production, highlighting the Shots for Tots and Teens program and the significance of vaccines in the community through the voice of a Colorado mother

“Vaccines have saved millions of lives, and resulted in better health and opportunity for families everywhere. But despite great progress, one in five children today do not have access to the life-saving vaccines they need. The stories behind this success and the future promise of immunization must be told. They are stories of risk and bravery, the passion and dedication of scientists, the love of parents, and the determination of health workers.”
