Overview

Flu season is upon us! At this educational seminar, Dr. Suchitra Rao, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, presented on the influenza virus, including its epidemiology, history, clinical manifestations, and recommendations for diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Rao also provided an overview of the 2018-2019 ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) influenza vaccine recommendations in the United States. This educational seminar included a brief update from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on the status of healthcare worker flu vaccination requirements in Colorado.

Target Audience
