Please join the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for an upcoming free, 1 CME credit webinar, Zika Refresher: The Latest Recommendations on Counseling, Testing, and Management of Zika Virus in Pregnant Women on Thursday, June 14 at 12:00-1:00 PM ET, 9:00-10:00 AM PT. While Zika has been less in the news recently, it is important for healthcare providers to stay vigilant and continue screening and counseling patients on Zika. This webinar, free and open to all, will review recommendations for screening and testing, management of women with possible Zika exposure, and counseling patients.
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify ways Zika virus is contracted and describe prevention methods
- Discuss who should be assessed for Zika virus exposure and identify current testing recommendations
- Discuss what follow-up is recommended for the infants of women with possible Zika virus exposure during pregnancy
