Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic is an 80-minute documentary on the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and the stories of struggle, tragedy and triumph surrounding this complicated and often misunderstood infection.
An estimated 79 million Americans are infected with HPV, and most females and males will become infected with at least one type of HPV in their lifetime. Low HPV vaccination rates are leaving both boys and girls at risk for several HPV-related cancers. Worldwide, cervical cancer kills over 250,000 women each year.
Through the stories of five women whose lives have been forever changed by HPV, this documentary reveals some of the faces of HPV, shedding light on the risks, myths, problems, politics, misconceptions and hard truths about this widespread epidemic. The women in this documentary are REAL. Real Mothers, Real Daughters, Real Wives, Girlfriends, Friends and Sisters.
"Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic" will educate, shock, reveal, entertain and maybe even save lives..."
