Event Information
Now in its 8th year, the 2015 S.O.U.P! event will continue to offer guests an enhanced experience. In 2014, the event moved from spring to autumn — the perfect time of year to savor gourmet soups — and the 2015 event will continue the tradition at the beautiful Inn at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado. In addition to tasting delicious soups from Bistro Boys Catering, guests will have the exciting opportunity to hear from inspiring special guest Amy Purdy, enjoy the sounds of Colorado’s own Monocle Band, and network with fellow CCIC friends and supporters at the open-seating event — all while supporting CCIC and our partners’ efforts to elevate the essential role vaccines play in preventing illness and promoting health for all of Colorado.

Venue
Guests are welcome to explore the Hudson Gardens 30-acre grounds ranging from high, dry prairie to river wetlands and featuring plants that thrive in the dry Colorado climate.
The S.O.U.P! event will take place inside the Inn at Hudson Gardens, a
stately yet charming log cabin nestled among conifers planted by King Hudson. Originally operated as Evelyn Hudson’s Country Kitchen and later as The Northwoods Inn Restaurant, the Inn at Hudson Gardens now provides a distinctive year-round event venue and is on Littleton’s historic register as a “building of merit.”
Please note the Inn is fully accessible. Additionally, most of the garden areas are accessible for persons using wheelchairs; the paths are a combination of concrete and crusher fine.
Seating
In order to better allow for soup tasting and networking the reception-style event will not reserve tables for sponsors or individuals. There will be unassigned, limited seating available throughout the tasting, presentation, and band performance.

Music
Formed in late 2010 on the musically fertile slopes of Colorado’s Front Range, Monocle Band offers a fresh and vibrant take on the acoustic music that has made Colorado one of the most noted music scenes in the country. Monocle is Acoustic Reverie…brand new, original mountain music.
Led by the sweet and soaring vocals of Monica Whittington, the Boulder, Colorado based quintet combines the best of song-craft and captivating performance. Monica (vocals, acoustic guitar) and songwriting partner Bill Huston (vocals, acoustic and electric guitar) have assembled an unparalleled ensemble of jazz-trained and roots-based musicians and have played over 250 dates since the bands the band’s inception. Filling out the quintet are Eric Wiggs (vocals, upright bass, electric guitar), Ben Blechman (violin) and Josh Moore (drums, percussion). As Colorado music legend Danny Shafer says, “Monocle’s instrumental ability is as strong as their connection to the audience. They always are able to give an engaging performance whether to a dancing crowd or a listening room.”
