Join the Colorado School of Public Health's Center for Global Health and the Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition to learn more about the future of global immunization initiatives and goals beyond 2020 when the Decade of Vaccines comes to an end. Dr. Jon Kim Andrus will highlight the successes, challenges and lessons learned through implementation of World Health Organization’s Global Vaccine Action Plan, as well as how post-2020 strategies will be shifted to ensure all of our world’s children are protected against vaccine-preventable diseases in a rapidly changing global environment.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Jon Kim Andrus, MD, is currently the Director, Division of Vaccines and Immunizations at the Center for Global Health at the Colorado School of Public Health as well as an Adjoint Professor of Family Medicine and Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Infectious Disease, School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health. Prior to joining the Center for Global Health, he was Executive Vice President and Director of Vaccine Advocacy and Education at the Sabin Vaccin­­e Institute in Washington, DC. Dr. Andrus served as Deputy Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) where he was the lead technical advisor for PAHO’s immunization program, providing oversight and guidance for PAHO’s technical cooperation to member countries. Currently Dr. Andrus is the co-Chair of the Global Polio Partners Group and a member of the International Monitoring Board for the Polio Transition. Dr. Andrus has more than 30 years of experience working in global health at all levels of the health system.
