Aurora, Colo. -- The Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition (CCIC) received a $15,000 grant through The Denver Post Season To Share presented by DaVita, the annual holiday fundraising campaign for The Denver Post Community Foundation.
The grant will support the Shots for Tots and Teens program, a partnership between CCIC, Tri-County Health Department, the Aurora Fire Department, local Rotary Clubs, Denver Public Health/Denver Health and Denver Paramedics that offers low- and no-cost Saturday immunization clinics to children and teens throughout the year in Aurora, Denver and Arvada.
Season To Share distributed over $1.85 million to 49 nonprofit organizations across the Denver metropolitan region focused on children and youth, health and wellness, homelessness, and hunger. Grants are made possible with the generosity of Denver Post readers, the general public, and corporate donations with matching funds by DaVita.
The grants were presented to recipients at a March 25 gala in Denver.
