Meeting Description
Join CCIC at our last coalition meeting of 2018. Dr. Jonathan Samet, Dean of the Colorado School of Public Health, will present a lecture on the “Death of Evidence: Implications for Immunization.” This presentation will address the rising skepticism around scientific evidence and experts—a trend that can be traced back several decades. Dr. Samet will discuss an emerging departure from the use of evidence in decision-making, and present on the broad implications of this trend for global health. Dr. Samet will also discuss the specific implications of this trend for immunization, for which personal belief often replaces evidence. Also at this meeting, the new slate of members of the CCIC Board of Directors will be elected and introduced.
